Will your children know Cuba?

Raising children outside of Cuba is a gift.

But it also comes with a quiet fear.

  • Will they understand our childhood?
  • Will they know our traditions?
  • Will they feel proud to say they are Cuban?

Our children grow up speaking another language. They go to school in another country.

They live far from the island their parents love.

MiCuba was created to help families discover Cuba together.

This is not just a history book.

It is a guide designed for parents, grandparents, and children to rediscover Cuban culture, stories, traditions, and pride.

Behind the Books

My name is Ernesto. I was born in Havana, Cuba, and I now live in Toronto, Canada. I have two small children who can say the word Cuba but do not yet know what it means. That look in their eyes is why this book exists.

I am not a publisher or an educator. I am just a Cuban father living far from home who refused to let his children grow up not knowing where they come from. I built this encyclopedia alone, from love and from memory.

My dream is simple.

I want every Cuban child who opens these books to feel proud of where they come from. And I want every parent & grandparent who holds it to smile and start telling stories of home.

Because those stories belong to our children now.

Con mucho amor y orgullo cubano,
Ernesto
